Koepka, Spieth, Morikawa, Fowler, Thomas & Burns Fill Out Zach Johnson’s 12-Man Team USA Ryder Cup Squad

The picks are in! Team USA’s Ryder Cup Captain, Zach Johnson, solidified his final six captain’s selections on Tuesday morning. Johnson’s decisions didn’t yield much surprise, but he opted for bigger names with Ryder Cup experience over recent success stories. Brooks Koepka was the target of much discussion. He was arguably a no-doubter, but some questioned if the LIV golfer was worthy of a Team USA nod. Koepka, along with Jordan Spieth, Collin Morikawa, Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas all have Ryder Cup experience. Sam Burns joins Max Homa, Brian Harman, and Wyndham Clark as the Ryder Cup rookies. Here’s a look at the final 12-man Team USA roster.

This will be the first Ryder Cup since the PGA-LIV split/merger. Some golfers are forever scarred, and the bad blood is still boiling. Expect the competitive spirit to be on overdrive between Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka. Can’t wait!
